Replicate Public Folder Data

Replicate Public Folder Data

- You need to be able to manage public folder replications in a couple of different scenarios. First, when you have more than one mailbox server hosting a public folder database, such as, you want to create some redundancy or some high availability for your public folder data, and secondly is when you're doing a migration from an older version of Exchange, such as deploying into a 2003 environment or Exchange 2007 environment, you're probably going to need to move that public folder data over to your 2010 servers before decommissioning those boxes. So, any public folder management console which you can launch from the toolbox in EMC, you can go into each copy of these public folders here, go to Replication tab, and Add Replica. In this case, I've installed Exchange 2010 into an existing 2003 environment. What I would need to do from this point is come into each folder, click on Add, and add my MBX1 server to the list. If you have 50,000 folders, this can pose quite a challenge…
