- [Instructor] Many times when a user calls in for support, the problem is on their computer or on their network, but that's not always the case. Sometimes the problem is on the server, and in order to troubleshoot the client's problem, you'll have to do something on the server itself. And there's several tools that we can use for that. The first one is the most popular, which would be Remote Desktop. It is by far the tool of choice to connect to a server as long as it's still up and running. It's free, has great features such as printing and copy and paste. It's also easy to set up. You will need to make some firewall changes, both on the Windows server as well as the internet provided firewall in order to make your way through, to get from the outside to the inside of that server. ScreenConnect is another product. It does have a cost, but it does provide more services than just plain old Remote Desktop. You can…
