- Before you can use the mail application that comes with Windows and to use some of the features of the address book and calendar, you need to have an email account that you can link to your computer. In this movie, we're going to see how to do that and I'm not going to show you how to create a new email account. I'm assuming that you already have an email account that you can use. Now you can start by going into settings. So I'll open up the start menu, click the gear button to go to settings. I'll go to the accounts category, and then I'll select this option on the left for email and accounts. Now, if you have any email accounts already linked, they will show up here on this list, which is currently empty.
