- So we've installed Windows 7. We taught you a little bit about networking, domain names, services. But our box is still working stand alone. We really want to use the full power of Windows 7 by connecting boxes or systems together, allowing them to see one another and share files, printer or other resources. And most of you who are watching this are probably supporting an enterprise domain with domain name control, with domain controllers and or file servers that are going to support your many users. But we're going to talk a little bit about work group and domain and show you in this lesson how navigation to establish connectivity from a Windows 7 client is a little different than in prior Microsoft Windows operating system. So it's really a little bit more about how we navigate to configure it than it is that there's really any difference. A Windows 7 is, PC is still a client that can be added to an enterprise domain.
