Join Nick Brazzi for an in-depth discussion in this video Installing applications from the web, part of Windows 10 Essential Training.
- As nice as the Windows Store maybe,…there will probably be a time when you need to install…new software that is not available on the Windows Store.…In that case, you'll probably need to download…and install that application from the web.…Let's look at a typical scenario.…It's very normal to install a different web browser.…Of course, Windows comes with the Edge web browser…but you may want to install something else…like Firefox or Chrome…and neither of those are available in the app store.…So let's install Chrome from the web.…
Now, we will need to use the Edge browser…to go on the web and find the application…that we want to install.…So here in Edge, I'm going to do a quick Bing search…for Google Chrome.…And the first result in the search is what I'm looking for:…Google Chrome.…Now each website for whatever app you're looking for is…going to look different…so you're going to have to hunt around.…But eventually, what you're trying to find is a button…to download and install the application.…So here's a button to download now.…
