Join Jeff Van West for an in-depth discussion in this video Indexed searching, part of Windows Vista Essential Training.
One of the best new features of Windows Vista is its ability to handle…searching and we already saw a little bit of this when we went to the Start…menu and I showed you that you could just type something into Start and it…worked as a search.…Let's suppose I am looking for an e-mail and I had something to do with a quiz…that we had in my magazine.…So I type quiz in Start menu. I don't see it.…See all results is highlighted, so I am going to hit Return and that brings up…this window, this Search window and quiz is what I've been searching for.…
But I have the ability in a Search window to filter.…Now, as it's Showing All, this is sort of the same idea as filtering, but it's a…special filter based on e-mails and oh, there it is.…Is that it, that one I was looking for, Quiz? Yes it is.…This was a message that I wanted to send to somebody and if I wanted to I could…double-click, it opens up and here is the whole message. I could resend it.…I could copy and paste out of it.…I could do whatever I wanted.…
