- Hello, I'm Dan Gookin. Welcome to Working with Computer Components and Peripherals. A peripheral is a device that expands the basic computer system, providing it with capabilities specific to your needs. These devices are installed internally or externally, wired or wireless, the variety is rich, and the goal of this course is to demystify the process. In this course I explain what the components and peripherals are, and how to add or remove them, in a safe, sane and effective manner.
It's something you can do yourself, and I'm eager to show you how. Now it's time to get started Working with Computer Components and Peripherals.
