Complete a system restore on boot
- [Voiceover] System restore is a Windows 10 feature to undo system changes by using restore points that return your system files and settings to an earlier point in time. All this without affecting a user's personal files, restore points save information about your PC's drivers, programs, registry, system files, and settings, all as restore points. The Windows restore feature is essentially the mother of all undo commands. You can perform a restore during a system boot or from the Windows control panel. In this tutorial I'll show you how to perform a system restore at boot-up. In the next video I demonstrate performing a restore from within Windows using the control panel. So to start, hold down the Shift key and choose from the tray Power, Restart. This will boot your machine to the advanced startup options screen. From here, choose Troubleshoot, and then Advanced Options, and then click on the System Restore option. If prompted here, go ahead and click on the administrator account…
