- [Voiceover] In the last chapter, we looked at certificate templates generally. And I pointed to a couple of things that I said we would revisit when working on a smart card certificate. In this video, we're going to create a new smart card user template so that we can view and set all of the relevant settings before publishing it to our users. For all of this to work, we need an Enterprise Certificate Authority. So here we have on the screen our New England CA that was installed as an enterprise subordinate CA in the first chapter. We also need to trust the root certificate authority. That's done. And we also need an online responder so machines in remote locations can verify any revoked certificates. So it looks like we've met the prerequisites. The next thing we need is a properly configured certificate template.
