Join Ed Liberman for an in-depth discussion in this video What you should know before starting, part of Securing Windows Server 2016: Securing Network Infrastructure.
- [Narrator] In this course I'm expecting that you should already have at least a decent level of knowledge of basic management of Windows Server 2016. For the demonstrations in this course I'll be using two virtual machines, both running Windows Server 2016. These machines are set up with a very simple configuration of one being a domain controller and the other being a member server within the domain. Now it'll be helpful for you to have the exact same setup. I will tell you that it's not necessary.
You should be able to access all of the tools from pretty much any computer that is running Windows Server 2016. The only difference is there might be some slight changes with some of the specific screens or actions if you're not set up exactly the same as me. But basically, if you want to set up the same, again, two computers, one domain controller, one member server of the domain, you're good to go.
