- [Instructor] I've found that some of my test labs can be a bit sterile in terms of the network activity and local device traces not showing a lot of activity. I've used the message analyzer to capture some information being passed around on my home network so that we can take a look at sample capture and the type of information that we can gather. So let me go ahead and start a new session here in the message analyzer, and this time, rather than a live trace, I'm going to use the data source of files. Here I can go ahead and add files to select the traces that have already been done and saved. The default save location for the message analyzer is in the documents folder of the current profile. Inside the message analyzer directory, here is the traces folder where those are kept. And that's where I've stored my network capture and a USB capture session.
