- [Instructor] Remote Access VPNs are a useful tool for remote users that need to connect in to a private network. But let's take a look at a different scenario and how it changes the VPN experience. Consider a growing business that's been operating out of one location and it's now time to open a new facility across town. They want to share a network. You could use a remote VPN connection for each user at site B, but let's take a look at what that would mean. An individual VPN would need to be started and stopped causing unnecessary delays for individual users. Also, each separate tunnel adds additional overhead that bogs down the connection. Multiple separate tunnels would mean multiple sets of connection overhead all running at once. Each tunnel uses its own unique connection information.
