- [Instructor] Cloud providers like Azure, Google Cloud, and Amazon are becoming increasingly popular in a world where companies grow and change faster than their ability to scale IT resources. They're also becoming more and more useful as even small companies find the need to connect to their company data from all around the globe. I recently worked with a small manufacturing company that employed fewer than 30 people. 10 in an office in the midwestern United States, another 10 near the east coast, and a handful more that are located in four different countries on three continents. Now they could have set up a site to site VPN between the two US locations and remote access VPNs for the users abroad, but in addition to being a bit more complex, this could have issues in certain countries and it creates a single point of failure located right there at the home office. A data center or a collection of servers could be brought up instead in one of the cloud providers as an entirely…
