User rights

- [Instructor] User rights are what determine what tasks a user account can complete. Now before I go any deeper into this, I do want to differentiate the term user rights from user permissions. Okay, because a right determines a task that a user can complete whereas a permission is a permission for a user to access a resource. People get those terms mixed up all the time so I want to make sure that you know the difference. Now when it comes to user rights, and really it's kind of the same as permissions in the sense if a user is a member of a group and that group has certain rights, then the user inherits those rights. So if a user is a member of let's say the domain admin's group, well that user is gonna have a lot of rights whereas if the user is not a member of a privileged group like domain admins, then the user won't have many rights. But we do have the ability to assign these rights individually if necessary. So let's take a look at how and where we would do this. To do this…
