- [Instructor] Another form of security that we have when it comes to keeping our files and our data secure is through the use of auditing. Now auditing is the concept of keeping track of who accesses what data, when did they access it, where did they access it from, and what level of access did they use? Now when it comes to auditing data, it's very important to understand that it's actually a two-step process. Okay. And the reason I emphasize this is because if you're at all familiar with the idea of auditing in Windows, you know that all other types of auditing it's just a simple, one-step process. But when it comes to auditing data, it's a two-step process. So for step one, I'm going to go ahead and demonstrate this by accessing a domain controller called DC1.
