- [Instructor] It is now time to come back to where this course began. Before planning hard drive configuration, before running the install, before you even purchased the server, the first task was to decide what the server was for. Now that your server is installed and done with all of the initial configuration, it's time to start installing those roles. Some roles install without asking any questions. They're pretty straightforward. Installing a DNS server or a web server will either configure itself or it will allow you to do any configuration later on. They won't ask you anything during or immediately following the installation. Other roles and features will require some selections to be made during the installation and others will require configuration immediately after the installation is done. Take Active Directory Domain Services for example. We decided that our first server would be a domain controller.…
