Perform quick migrations
- [Instructor] The Quick Role migration is a feature inside Failover Cluster Manager that allows an administrator to move a virtual machine role from one node to another. You may want to do this when you know you'll be shutting down a node to perform maintenance or if you see some instability. You may also do this if you notice the load too high on one or more nodes and you need to balance the load across the nodes. You can check this using your task manager. We see Server1 has been hosted on Host1. If we right click on it and we choose Move we can choose either Live Migration as we did in our previous video or Quick Migration. We can either choose the Best Possible Node which will look for the one that has the least amount of load on it or we can choose to Select a Node. Since we only have one other node in this cluster, it doesn't matter which one we choose. Let's just go ahead and choose the Select the Node and click OK. And we see under information the status of what's happening…
