- [Narrator] One of the best things about the new Windows Server 2019 is that it has some really great container-related features included. For example, there is now platform-level support for Linux containers. That means it's possible to run Windows and Linux containers on the same container host using the same Docker demon. This allows you heterogeneous container hosts and gives you maximum flexibility for your developers. There's also Docker integration with Windows Firewall. That means you can expose a port in Docker and it's automatically opened in the Windows Firewall. There's improved support for Kubernetes as well as a number of improvements around the integrated Windows authentication for containers. There's also optimized container images for Nano Server and Server Core. The base container image download sizes have been greatly reduced, and that reduces the amount of time for you to download those containers as well as to start up those containers.
