Managing groups

- [Instructor] Although it might be practical to be able to assign rights and permissions to individual user accounts in a very small environment, it's not really that practical when you end up in a large enterprise network. So in order to help alleviate the problem of having to assign rights and permissions to individual users, we have the ability to create groups. And we can make users members of those groups and then simply assign the rights and permissions to those groups. So to demonstrate this, let's go over to one of our domain controllers, called DC one. Here in the Server Manager I have DC one, let's go up to the Tools menu, and I want to select Active Directory Users and Computers. Here in Active Directory Users and Computers, if I expand my domain, you'll see that I have a bunch of containers. And one container in particular I'd like to show you is the Customer Service container, where I have a bunch of users that are all part of customer service. Which means there's a…
