- [Instructor] Installing and configuring NAT on a Windows server goes pretty smooth if you do a few things first. And if you've watched any of my courses before, you know that the first thing I like to do is plan. So this is our goal. We want to have this Windows server provide a growing internal network with access to the outside world. On the extranet we were assigned a single IP address of 10.3.66.74, and you may recognize since that starts with a 10, technically that is a private IP address. That's because I'm doing this demonstration in a contained lab and as you set up some of these servers in lab environments, I'm sure you'll do it the same way. On our intranet, we have addresses in the 172.16.0 network, so our Windows server has to have a network interface on that network. So it's address will be 172.16.0.1. So that's our plan. One Windows server, two network interfaces, with the appropriate address on each side. So let's switch over to the server and set this up. So here we…
