Implement storage migration

- [Instructor] Storage migration is a feature in Windows Server that allows us to move the files for a virtual machine to a new location while the virtual machine is running. For example, suppose your virtual machine files are currently on a SAN volume, but the SAN storage device is being retired. A new SAN is being deployed and ready to take over. Prior to Windows Server 2016, you would have to shut down the virtual machine and then copy the files to the new SAN. In Windows Server 2019, you can leave the virtual machine running and let the system move the files and perform configuration changes without taking the virtual machine offline. Let's take a look at this in Failover Cluster Manager. We're in Failover Cluster Manager and we have app server one and we'd like to move our files from one location to another. Let's right click on our virtual machine. We'll choose move and we'll choose virtual machine storage. We see volume one and volume two and currently the virtual machine…
