- [Instructor] We're going to add the file server role to our Failover Cluster Manager, and that allows us to use the high availability features in Server 2016 to have a file server available even if a server goes down for maintenance or repair. Now we need to make sure that all the nodes in the Failover Cluster have the file server role installed. So let's go to our Server Manager, and then go to Add Roles and Features, choose our server, expand File and Storage Services, and make sure the File Server role is checked. Go ahead and click next, and install. Make sure the same role is installed on any other nodes in the cluster. I've already made sure that VMHost2 has the role installed so all we had to do was install it on VMHost1. The role was installed successfully, let's go ahead and close. And go back to our Failover Cluster Manager. Now we want to make sure that we have storage for this as well so click on Disks, and we see that there's a 400 gigabyte storage that we can use for…
