- [Instructor] To help manage the deployment of updates out to both your servers and clients out on the network, you need to install the WSUS role. So to do that, we are here on a Windows Server 2016 computer and we're looking at the Server Manager and we want to select Add roles and features. So I will select that now. You get a typical Before You Begin. It's saying, "Hey, you're about to do something "to this machine. Make sure that it's up-to-date "and ready to go." So we know it is, so I'll go ahead and click Next. It is a role-based installation, so we'll take the default and just select Next. It is this computer that we're going to do it on, Windows Server, so I'll just click Next. And if I scroll down to the bottom of the my roles list here you'll see we have Windows Server Update Services, or WSUS, and when I check that box, as usual, it tells me there are other features that are required for this, so I'll go ahead and say add those features, and then click Next.
