- [Instructor] Sometimes in your active directory domain services environment, you will find yourself in a situation where you need to create a second forest domain. So a perfect example where we might find that is when two companies, when there's some kind of a merger or a acquisition, where they come together, and in that scenario, you want to have a full security boundary separating the two organizations, even though they're under the same parent umbrella. So, I want to demonstrate that to you here. And real quick, let's just go through my environment. This is kind of important, especially if you've been following along with all the videos in this course. If that were the case, you'd know that DC-1 and DC-2 are the domain controllers for landonhotel.local. Child DC is the domain controller for child.landonhotel.local.
