- [Instructor] In Active Directory Domain Services when you find yourself managing an Active Directory forest that spans multiple locations and if you find yourself with slow connections between those locations you may need to have some level of control over replication between the locations. So the way we do this is with something called sites. So to demonstrate sites I'm going to go ahead and jump onto a domain controller I have here called DC 1, which is a domain controller for the landonhotel.local domain, which is the forest root domain. Here in the Server Manager on DC 1 I want to go up to the Tools menu, and then the tool I want to select is Active Directory Sites and Services. Here in the Active Directory Sites and Services tool you will see that we have a container for Sites, and if I expand that container you'll see that we have a few different things here. Number one, we have Inter-Site Transports, and if I expand that you'll see there's a couple transports, IP and SMTP. I…
