Creating organizational units (OUs)
- [Instructor] In Active Directory Domain Services, the organizational unit container object may be your all-time best friend, and the reason why is because without these container objects, well, then your Active Directory Domain Services environment would probably be quite complicated, confusing, and in some cases next to impossible to administrate. To show you first of all here how to simply create these organizational units, or what's sometimes known as OUs for short, to do this, I'm going to jump on to DC1. Here in the server manager, I'm going to go up to the tools menu and then select "Active Directory Users and Computers". So the first thing I want to show you, if I expand landonhotel.local, you'll see that I already have a number of containers, and most of these were built-in and there by default, but there is one that was created as part of some of the other videos that I've been demonstrating in this course, for instance I have the customer service container that was…
