- [Lecturer] In the old days of computer networking we had a bunch of computers, right? Actual physical computers that would be connected and therefore networked together. Well in the world of virtualization we have something called a virtual machine, which is a virtual representation of a physical computer. So to show you how to create a virtual machine I'm on a computer here that has Windows Server 2016 installed as well as the Hyper-V role. So here on the Server Manager we're going to go up to the Tools menu and select the Hyper-V Manager. So here in the Hyper-V Manager you can see HOST-1, that's the name of this computer, which is actually hosting the virtual machines, it's hosting the Hyper-V role. And if I right-click on this host and then select New, you see here I can create a Virtual Machine. When I select that it takes me into the New Virtual Machine Wizard, it starts off with a Before You Begin overview screen, so I'll just go ahead and click through that. Now I have to…
