Create a DFS namespace
- [Instructor] DFS namespaces enable a virtual representation of shared folder structures. Now the complete configuration of a DFS namespace consists of a number of different tasks, including the creating of the namespace structure, creating folders within the namespace, and then adding folder targets. So here, I'm going to go ahead and demonstrate the creating of the namespace structure. So, I am on one of my member servers, it's called member-1. And if you're following along, one thing that I want you to know is even though everything I'm going to do is on member-1, it's important that both member-1 and member-2 are both running and have the DFS role services installed. So here in the Server Manager, I'm going to go up to the Tools menu and I'm going to select DFS Management. Here in DFS Management, you'll see here if I click on Namespaces, everything is pretty much just blank cause we don't have anything yet. So…
