Configuring cluster operations mode

- Cluster Operation Mode is an algorithm that has to do with the way packets are sent and received to your client computers. You have two options: either choose unicast or multicast. Select unicast to allow all cluster hosts to share an identical unicast MAC address. Select this in most cases. Now, don't select this if you only have one network adapter in each host. This is because the hosts need to communicate with each other on the second or third NICs, and they can't do this in Unicast unless you have multiple NICs in each host. Select multicast when each cluster host retains their original MAC address of the adapter. In addition to the original MAC address of the adapter, the adapter is assigned a multicast MAC address, and that's shared by all cluster hosts. We can change from unicast to multicast or back again by going into our NLBCluster, right clicking, and choosing the Cluster Properties. We can click Cluster Parameters, and here we have the option for either unicast or…
