- [Lecturer] Clients of a RADIUS server can be any kind of access gateway that needs to use RADIUS to look up credentials of the users and computers attempting to access the network. We noted previously that this could be users connecting to an infrastructure Wi-Fi but in this case it's a VPN and our VPN is being created so that we can have sales people connect in from the internet. So, let's go ahead and add our RADIUS client, our VPN gateway here. When I click Add I can assign it a friendly name, this should be something that helps us recognize it later on I'm going to call it Remote Sales VPN. And then I could specify the IP address or the resolvable host name of the gateway server. Remember, I'm sitting behind the server, so I need to use the private network side of our gateway which is 172 dot 16 dot zero dot one. and then I need to go ahead and specify the shared secret.
