- [Instructor] In the last chapter we set up network policy server as a radius server. And for the most part we created the different objects as they were requested. Now I don't know how many database admins are watching this course but for those of you out there it probably makes you cringe to watch information being entered separately over and over again. In this video we're going to use template management in NPS to do the equivalent of normalizing our database, or to create once, things that we'll need to reference and use identically, over and over again. The first example that I want to show you is a shared secret template. These shared secrets should be really long and complex. We've seen them in multiple places already. You might want to use the same shared secret for more than one VPN server to avoid having to keep a spreadsheet somewhere that lists all of your secrets.
