- [Instructor] To take full advantage of the security features of Direct Access, you're going to need to issue certificates recognized by active directory to the direct access server and to all work stations that will be using the gateway. To do this, you're going to need to install and configure an enterprise certificate authority. For more complete details on how to plan or configure an enterprise certificate authority, you could check out one of my other courses, Windows Server 2016 Certificate Services, but for this course, I've already installed the certificate authority. And I've configured active directory so all members of the domain will trust it. So with this in place, let me go to the group policy and configure auto enrollment of certificates. This can be done from the domain controller by going to the tools menu of server manager, to group policy management, and from there we're going to expand out.
