Configuring DHCP scopes

- [Instructor] After installing the DHCP server role in Windows Server 2016, the first step to configuring that role would be to create a scope. To demonstrate this, I am going to hop on to a server I have called DC 1 because this is where I've already installed the DHCP role. Here on DC 1, we're looking at the server manager. And there's a couple of things you can see here. Number one, over on the left you can see DHCP is listed as a role that can be managed. And then in the top right, if I click on the tools menu, you'll see that I have a selection for DHCP and if I click on this, it'll take me into the DHCP manager. Here in the DHCP manager, let me expand this over to the right a little bit so we can see everything we are looking at. You'll see that there's already a server ready to be managed and that's DC 1, the server that we're on. If I expand that, you'll see that we have the ability to manage iPv4 or iPv6. There's very little when it comes to managing iPv6 in DHCP. But…
