- [Narrator] Sometimes when working with DHCP clients, we still want to be set up to dynamically receive an IP address, but we want to make sure that we get the same consistent IP address over and over again every time. We can accomplish this through something called a DHCP reservation. To demonstrate this, I want to jump on DC-1, which is a server that I have that is already a DHCP server and has a scope in place. Here in the server manager, we're going to go up to the tools menu, and select DHCP. This will take us into the DHCP manager, and in this DHCP manager, you'll see that we have our server. If I expand that, we have IP version 4. If I expand that, we have our scope that's already been set up for our Landon Hotel clients. If I expand that, I want you to see that we have an option here called reservations. If I click on that, you'll see here that it says that a reservation ensures that a DHCP client is always assigned the same IP address. Now, where might we want this to…
