- [Instructor] Many roles that can be added to a Windows server have a very simple install process, and then a slightly more detailed post installation configuration. ADFS is one of these roles. Adding the role is as easy as going to the server manager, and under the management you selecting add roles and features, and move through this wizard to select Active Directory Federation Services. I'm going to check this box so that we can skip this before you begin screen on any future installs of roles and services. The installation type is a role or feature for this machine, as opposed to applications to host through a remote desktop. The server selection is a pretty easy decision to make, I'm managing this server, this is where I want the role to be installed, and finally we come to the list of available roles.
