- [Voiceover] While the concept of network access protection makes a lot of sense. When it comes to protecting your network from remote clients and making sure that they meet certain health requirements, Microsoft has actually deprecated this service within their server operating systems. Now even though you won't find it in Microsoft operating systems going forward, the concept will still exist in third party products. What I would like to do here is I would like to still show you what basic NAP setup would look like in Windows Server 2012 R2. Now in order to do this I can pretty much pick almost any of my servers. I'm gonna go ahead and jump onto DC-1 for this demonstration. So the first thing we need is we need to go ahead and install the network policy server role.
