- [Robert] Command-line utilities are excellent tools in Windows Server 2016. Not only do they give us additional options we can't use in the graphical interfaces, but they also allow us to script various different changes so we can have them happen automatically. Let's take a look at some of the different commands we'll be using today. The first ones will be make directory and remove directory and they do just what they say. Mkdir and rmdir make folders, also known as directories, and remove them as well. When it comes to command-line, we refer to folders as directories. When we go to the graphical interface, we refer to them as folders and that has more to do with history than anything else. The directories are, what was originally called, in the UNIX environment, but when apple came out with Macintosh, they called them folders. When Windows came out, they stayed with the folder type of naming convention because that was what people, who used Macintosh, were used to. So, let's take…
