- [Instructor] So far as we've configured network policy server, we've been doing so to just open VPNs generally, but our primary purpose was to be able to create a limited use tunnel. One that would restrict the servers and the resources that could be accessed inside our network. To do that, we're going to use policies. Now we can see if we click on connection policies, the list of rules that will allow people to connect into the VPNs and under network policies, we can see a list of rules that define what someone can do once they access the VPN. In fact, here's the one that we created initially when we configured our client. Let's take a look at how this one is used. The first thing that I want to point out is this checkbox. The function is pretty self explanatory but let me remind you of an important use: if you create a new policy and then suddenly nothing works, you can simply uncheck this box and apply it so that you can resume normal operation while you go about fixing whatever…
