Learn what you need for this course. This is a beginner's course, but it is helpful to be familiar with JavaScript. Also, this course makes use of npm (node package manager), so you need to have Node and npm installed.
- [Instructor] Learning Webpack will introduce us to new ways of packaging and building our JavaScript code. For that reason, I'll assume that you have a bit of JavaScript knowledge prior to taking this course. If you need a refresher, check out JavaScript Essential Training with Morten Rand-Hendriksen. We will also be installing Webpack via npm, so you'll need to be sure to have Node.js and npm installed to work with Webpack. In a later video, I'll show you how to make sure that these tools are installed. If you've never worked with them before though, you may want to watch Node.js Essential Training with Alex Banks.
That's about all you would need to get started with this course, so let's jump right in.
