- [Narrator] Screen real estate is a valuable commodity. Clutter up a screen and it looks like you are trying to stuff five pounds of feathers into a two pound bag. Not to mention, your user is going to have an awful experience and the odds are almost 100% they're just going to give up and leave. This has given rise to a number of menu design patterns that offer the user choice without cluttering up the screen. One of the more ubiquitous is the accordion menu and that's what we're going to be creating in this exercise. So to get yourself started open the accordion file found in your chapter download. When it opens, you'll see that I have given you four markers and they're going to deal with the opening of the accordion and the closing of the accordion.
