- [Instructor] Practically every micro-interaction involves state changes for an object. And the micro-interaction is how the object transitions between the states of that object. And that transition are kind of the rules. Of course the overall rule is to let the user know the button is live and to click it. In this exercise we're going to transition between the over, hover, and active states of a simple button. And to get yourself started, open the Transform file found in your chapter download. When the file opens, you will see each of these states is a pre-comp. So we've got an active state, a hover state, and an over state. And we'll start with the over state, so we'll just double-click the Over comp. And get started. The overall rule here is to simply let the user know the button is live, and this is accomplished through a state change, which is basically going to darken the button as the cursor passes over the button.
