- [Instructor] It is the rare project where a user is not asked to enter a username or password through the use of either a modal or on a screen. In this exercise, I'm going to show you a quick way of prototyping text inputs, so let's get started. And to get yourself started open the text input file found in your chapter download. And when it opens, you will see a typical text input area for good old John Smith, and here's a real quick way of doing it. We're going to use an effect. So if you don't have the Effects & Presets panel open just go to Window, Effects & Presents, or press command or control five, and that will open it. So we're going to be looking for an effect called typewriter, so we'll just type in the word type in the search area, and there it is. Now that we have the effect, we can just drop it right on top of the text, and the text disappears, now here's why. Twirl it down, and you'll notice that there is this thing called an animator.
