- Once you've determined your setup, I'd get busy setting expectations all around. If you've been working with stakeholders or teammates, and they're used to you conducting in-person research, they may not know what to expect from your new efforts. Maybe they'll assume you can turn things over really quickly, like just a day or two, or think you'll suddenly be able to conduct four times as many sessions as normal. A little hint, that math does not add up. Before endeavoring on any remote research efforts, help your team clearly understand the method you've chosen, the timeline you've set out, limitations of the efforts, what you'll plan to find and any other particular context that will help them feel comfortable and well-informed.
