Preparing comps in AE

- The heart and soul of any micro-interaction prototype is the composition or, as is more commonly referred to, the comp. It is your design surface and is where the magic happens. You can have one comp for an entire project or multiple comps nested inside the project. Think of those multiple comps as self-contained animations, and you're grasping the concept. To start, launch After Effects, and you will be asked to create a New Composition, right here. Click it, and you are presented with this dialog box. This could be a scary place because if you select this preset pop-down, you are presented with a ton of video formats. Ignore it. Nothing you prototype is destined for the big screen or 4K TVs. The width and height values are important. Let's set the width to 375 pixels and the height to 667. Now, you notice things changed up here. That's because I've got the aspect ratio locked. You don't want this locked. So, we're going to set that back to 375. of an iPhone 6. Your next decision…
