- At this point in the process, your general knowledge of topics is not in question, so the interviews are going to test your ability to solve problems. Some companies might schedule phone screens with an engineer, or you might have to submit to the dreaded whiteboard coding interview. Now, this can be pretty scary, so here are some things that can help you prepare. Look for courses or books that specialize on coding tests. There are also companies like Interview Cake, LeetCode, freeCodeCamp, and HackerRank that have sample questions and test interviews. If you like reading, try cracking the code interview. It has lots of classic coding questions with answers for different languages. Here's the thing, that you solve the problem isn't as important as how you go about solving the problem.
