- Ever heard of an icebreaker? It's typically a facilitation activity with the intention to help members connect and relax their nerves at the beginning of a workshop. The purpose of an icebreaker is to help set the tone and warm up the group. In this episode, we'll look at how to create, customize, and focus on a meaningful icebreaker for your next kick-off meeting or workshop. The first question you might be asking is why would I need an icebreaker? It might not be something you think about all the time, but people are very different. They're different in the ways they communicate, solve problems, and get comfortable with one another. This is especially true when a team hasn't worked with one another before.
