Learn how to use concepts like social proof and authority to build your credibility online and create more persuasive user experiences.
(xylophone music) - Hello, I'm Chris Nodder. Welcome to persuasive UX creating credibility. In this course, we'll focus on a set of persuasive design patterns that rely on the credibility of the persuader to change people's behaviors. It's curious how much of our behavior is governed by what we see other people doing and how we respond to people in positions of authority. The persuasive techniques we'll cover in this course rely on concepts such as social proof the idea that if other people are doing something it must be acceptable, and credibility the trust we put in people who claim to know what's going on.
I'm sure you'll find some interesting ideas in this course, so let's get started.
