- Well, you've made it to the end of this course and possibly the entire series. So here's some practical advice on what to explore next. If I were teaching this course in a classroom setting, I would use Dan Brown's Designing Together as the textbook. It's an in depth but very readable guide to being a better collaborator and managing conflict. I highly recommend it. Dan's a veteran user experience designer and a wonderful writer with a ton of real world experience and smart insights. One area I didn't dive into deeply in this course though it's a rich subject, is building your conflict resolution skills. Diane Musho Hamilton's Everything Is Workable is a fantastic book on this subject. She's a zen teacher and conflict mediator. It's quite a combination. And she has some really wonderful insights into why conflict arises and how to see things from different angles in order to arrive at agreements.
