Join Ray Villalobos for an in-depth discussion in this video Using the exercises for this course, part of Mastering Web Developer Interview Code.
- [Instructor] The easiest way to work with this course is to use to the practice environment available for each episode. Each video with a practice environment will have an icon with angle bracket next to the name of the video. To practice with the code for an episode click on the angle brackets icon and a full-featured editor will be launched, will all the files and the processes you need to work on the exercises for the course. If you're an advanced user you can also get all the files for this course through GitHub.
The files on GitHub have the advantage of showing you both the code at the beginning of the video as well as at the end of the video. The code for each video is under a different branch. So if we're working with some CSS code, I'm going to click on this process folder and then the postcss folder to take a look at the style.css file. Now from here you can click on this branch pop-up menu and choose a different branch. Let's say you're on Episode Five and you want to see what the code for this page looks like at the beginning of the video.
I would choose EP for episode and then 005, for the fifth episode. And then either b, for how the code looked at the beginning of Episode Five, or I can choose EP005e, for how that code looked at the end of Episode Five. If you want to copy and paste this code somewhere else, you can click on the Raw button right here. If you want to learn how to work with this and other courses in Git or GitHub, make sure you watch this course.
So now that we're ready to get going, let's get started.
