- [Narrator] Hi this is Chris Converse. And in this episode we'll use Sketch to create multiple sizes of a bitmap-based graphic for use on high-density screens. With most mobile devices supporting higher pixel density ratios there's now a disconnect between a software pixel and a hardware pixel. We typically measure web and application elements using software pixels. However devices use hardware pixels to represent those elements. And the higher the device's pixel ratio the more hardware pixels they use per software pixel. Now we'll be using Sketch to define the software pixel size of our image as well define the various device pixel settings when we export the final graphics. So if you'd like to follow along download the Exercise Files and let's open the file name sights_of_paris in Sketch. And now inside of the Sketch file.
